lying westminster council traffic warden
on the 15th of july 2006 i was loading a couch onto the back of my van.the road had a
single yellow line but it was after nine p.m. so no problem.i was parked in south street but
needed to park two wheels on the kerb so any traffic could get by.as i got to the back of
the van a resident saw a traffic warden looking at my van.i went round to him and he
pointed out that two wheels were on the kerb.i jumped in the van and moved forward a few
yards and off the kerb.someone else told me the warden had taken a photo of my van.i
spoke to the warden and he informed me he didnt have to issue a ticket and that i would
receive a fine through the post.i have appealed the fine which i received over a month
later.i now discover the warden is claiming he gave me the ticket and i ripped it
up.hopefully the fact that i have three witnesses to the contrary should stand in my favour
but who knows.i have received many tickets in the past and always paid.i have never
ripped up a ticket.any advice please e-mail me and watch this space.
here is my van which was
photographed by shoulder no ws3852
according to westminster council you can park on the kerb if
-the vehicle is not causing an obstruction to pedestrians,
-there is no loading ban in place on the road,
-there is no alternative to parking on the pavement in order to reach the premises
and this is what westminster council sent as way of explanation of my ticket
I dont beleive it.On the day  that the parking and traffic appeals service send confirmation that my appeal
will be heard on 15 november 2006 Southwark counciltell me i drove through a no entry in rye
lane(camera number 0519).Looks like im going to have to accept this one as they have a photo/video
evidence.Maybe i deserve this fine for all the times i have broken this rule on purpose. But on this
occasion i dont remember doing it or even why i needed to.possibly i was shouting into my motorolla
hands free kit which is really crap.
Appeal won.Appeals service did not believe that the ticket was issued.
