by Administrator on Nov.27, 2009, under parking fines etc
A word of warning to all you foreign car owners. If your car has been here more than six months you must register with dvla.If you dont then you will be wheel clamped!!
I have just had to pay £260 by credit card for a colleague(lithuanian-no creditcard).
He now has 24 hours to get the car off the road.Serves him right.Dont delay, register your car.
Anyone know how much it is to register?
traffic warden corruption bribery scandal
by Administrator on Nov.20, 2009, under cafe with parking, parking fines etc
i was sitting in the cafe as i occasionally do when i see the local
traffic warden writing out a ticket.the staff at the cafe waved
him and the warden stopped writing it out.two minutes later
he comes over, sits at the table and is presented with a free
cup of coffee.i was shocked.i didnt realise you could cancel
a ticket so cheaply.am now going to carry a flask of coffee
around with me.

They finally got me and i cant appeal.seems i drove down a bus lane without realizing
it was an event day.Bloody u2 i think.I didnt know that bus lanes changed for event days.
Well it wont happen again.Bloody £60.Looks like i’ll have to steal some wheels from a brent
council van.(only joking kids).Don’t ever take out your frustration on the council.Steal them from an apcoa van.
APCOA which is a company committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where differences are understood, valued and respected. BASTARDS.
Loading in Central London
by Administrator on Jul.13, 2009, under parking fines etc
if the sign says “no loading” then please dont ask our driver to load even for
one minute. We can receive tickets through the post without even seeing a
traffic warden.cctv in london is everywhere.neither can we park on the kerb
beside the no loading restriction.
westminster council loading rules in parking bays
by Administrator on Apr.26, 2009, under parking fines etc

Westminster council allow unlimited loading time before 11a.m. and 20 minutes
after 11a.m. on yellow lines and 20 minutes in parking bays http://www.westminster.gov.uk/transportandstreets/parking/loading/loading_parkingbays.cfm
The reason i write this is they gave me a ticket at 10.30a.m. while loading for taking 35 minutes. So much for Westminster’s new common sense approach.
wheel clampers at Holloway road Shell garage
by Administrator on Mar.22, 2009, under parking fines etc

An easy way to give your staff a bonus at the end of the year is to hire wheel clampers
such as Direct Parking Control.they will pay you for every ticket issued and if your cash machine is out of order then they are more likely to catch people parking up in the bays
beside the machine and walking off site.issue tickets yourself(supplied by direct parking)
and they will give you £15 for each one.the old boy in the picture was just popping into
the chemist like he does every week and now has to pay £200 if he wants his car back.
Dont take short cuts through the royal parks
by Administrator on Nov.08, 2008, under parking fines etc
I have spoken to a few drivers who have been fined for driving through regent’s and hyde park.I must confess that i have also done the same thing and gotten away with it.I wont be doing it again. Both drivers have been caught in the last month. From reading up on the subject it is the metropolitan police who patrol the parks. The principal parks are Hyde Park ,St James’s Park ,Regent’s Park ,Richmond Park ,Bushy Park and Greenwich Park.Their non emergency number is 0300 123 1212.
Dont think you can drive through with an unmarked van.The Met will assume you are a business.
If you have been done or even let off then let us know about it here.
kensington and chelsea double parking
by Administrator on Oct.09, 2008, under parking fines etc
